Free Thought
For some, being alone can be a terrifying thought, memories, regrets,
trauma and irreconcilable issues can haunt the innermost recesses of a person's
mind. Yet sometimes the path to being alone and individuality can be an awakening
revelation and a welcome peace where you can become content and complete in
your spirit.
Life can offer a myriad of escape routes away from individual thinking, but
it would only prolong the inevitable conclusion to a path we all must
ultimately travel when the choice is made. These escape routes that are used
can very often lead those who choose them to a false sense of being in control
of their lives. The most common is a dire need or desire to be accepted and
belonging to something outside one's self.
A click if you will, a gang, a political party, a sorority, etc. These are
examples of a collection of people that form a group where the common bond is acceptability because all minds are in unison with a common goal. This is not
to say this is a bad thing unless the group's motives have immoral ideas and
goals. Yet any organization or group is only as influential as the concept of
its members.
For example, if everyone in a particular group thought the same without
differing opinions or judgement what would happen to someone who opposes this
group?
If this group's members continues to grow larger without the opposition of
those who disagree or think differently it will become a majority and the
opposition becomes the minority good or bad and perhaps eventually
non-existent.
It is for this reason why it is so important to think independently for
yourself first. In order to do that, you have to be completely comfortable with
being different from anyone else as an individual.
Some of the most powerful changes in history has come from those people
that would not accept the ideals and philosophies that ruled the majority and
they dared to oppose the status quo.
Opposition, individuality and free thought is necessary to keep those who
lack the ability to understand that division only creates a weaker majority
rule.
The path to least resistance is always the easiest, shortest and the most
traveled. The path to believing and doing what is right takes courage, wisdom
and a righteous heart.
So "think" differently.....
